SUMMARY:New Motor Carrier Training (ODOT Required) - Oct
DESCRIPTION:This 8-hour training package provides an overview of the Oregon Motor Carrier Education Manual and meets the training requirement of ORS 825.400. Students who complete the course will gain a fundamental understanding of the primary topics addressed in the manual (Weight Mile Tax\, Registration\, IFTA\, Size & Weight\, and Road Safety). Training resources and materials provided in the class will include: a copy of the Motor Carrier Education Manual\, power point print outs of lesson plans\, and FMCSA record keeping checklists. This is a live training session that must be attended in full either in person or remotely via webinar. The Oregon Trucking Association has been a reputable provider of safety and compliance training for the trucking industry since its founding over 80 years ago. Our instructors have long-term experience in the industry and are well qualified to assist you in your goal of gaining a clear and thorough understanding of the federal and state regulations that impact your business. Whatever stage you are at in your compliance education\, we can help take your industry knowledge to the next level.\nNote to remote attendees:Carriers that are required to complete New Carrier Education per ORS 825.400 must attend a live training session to fulfill their requirement. To confirm that our remote attendees are present for this training during webinars\, the following criteria must be met to receive certificate of completion:Attendee cameras must be kept on throughout the training and each attendee must be visible onscreen when the class is in session (devices should checked in advance to confirm two-way visual capability).The name of the company and their attending representative must be clearly identified in their screen designation.Roll may be formally taken by instructors at the beginning of the class or at other times throughout the day.
